Meet Lizzie

The painter, the punchline, and your new favorite Kansas card lady.

If you’ve ever wondered who’s behind all the dry humor and watercolor charm — hi, it’s me, Lizzie!! I am a Salina-based artist, writer, and professional observer of everyday chaos. I started my blog years ago and then progressed to writing and illustrating kid's books! Creating a line of inappropriate, somewhat edgy greeting cards seemed like the next obvious step! Laughter With Lizzie was born!! My cards say what you might not say out loud. You know, the quiet parts! These cards are not your granny's cards and definitely not the glitter-coated robots you find in big-box aisles. Turns out, people were craving honesty… and a few well-timed laughs.

Every card begins at my studio window that overlooks the Kansas prairie — usually with a cup of coffee, a messy paint palette, and a tag that has to make me laugh out loud or it doesn't make the cut! What starts as a tiny watercolor doodle becomes a hand-painted greeting card that feels personal, heartfelt, and absolutely unfiltered.

My humor is best described as humor born out of trauma and survival! Sarcastic, dry, clever, and warm enough to balance the sass. Whether I am painting wobbly flowers, or blogging something painfully relatable, I live to turn awkward moments into punchlines. My goal is simple:

make cards people actually enjoy giving.
